BTL owns the site belizeweb.com and can do what they want with it. Including streaming radio stations was something BTL did to draw traffic to their site, and KREM and others enjoyed the benefit of having BTL provide a free source for them to stream their signals. If KREM wants to have their station available on the internet nobody is stopping them from doing what most radio stations anywhere else in the world who want to stream do... that is pay to set up their own website with a live audio and pay for the band with to stream. BTL is under no obligation to stream local radio as some sort of public service. Not that I have any love for BTL or Ashcroft, but if the purpose of this group is to advocate for freedom on the internet in Belize then we should allow BTL the same freedom to do what they choose with their own sites. I remember when I was young in Belize there were peace corp people there. My mother was friends with a lot of them and they would come by the house often. One day my friends and I was playing ennie meni minei mo and one of the peace corp men called my mother to let her here what we were singing. She informed him that it was fine with her and to leave it alone, she will let us know in her own time. See, my mother had been in the US more then once and know all about racism she didn't want to put that to us at the age of 8 and 6. Why then do you'll let this happen? why do you give all these outsiders so much power over your life? Is it all for the almighty dollar? I know that with the level of educated people in Belize there is something you'll can do. It seems that the only time Belize people have a voice is when they want to yell and scram at there neighbor for something that they think was a slight against them. You want to have belizians come together, tell them that they can't Mr. Hyde, for me to be in your party, I defied my family and most of my friends because I believed in your cause. I liked that you had the youth on your side. Now Mr. hyde you need to use that same conviction and gumsion that you had back then and get the youth on your side again Leave UDP & PUP out of the loop and get the young people to get together and fight for there country just the way you did. Maybe you lost that time but for me and a lot of my friends you were thr biggest winner. You and Rufus and Mandingo where my heros back then and to this day I alway let my children know about the great UBAD party and the things they though me. I was 17 when my parents said I had to move to America. When I reached america, my mother let me know about racism and what I need to do to overcome it for myself and the people around me. I used a lot of the tools I was given by the UBAD party to overcome. Mr. Hyde, you need to give the young people of Belize the same tools to fight with. You need to inform them from a strong Belizian man point of view not a rich, unreachable man but a man that is with them all the way and didn't give up on them yet. You and others like you cannot let Mr. Ashcroft and the other like him do to your people what they do to all minorities in the world with the almighty dollar. I am sure that if you talk to the people of Belize honestly and with the same convictions that you did when I was a young girl looking for answers to some very confusing questions and your party helped, I know they will listen and understand and want to do for themselves.
